Can I use your products for my entire family?
You don’t have to be a baby to enjoy the benefits of our products. They are especially great for anyone with sensitive skin – like a baby’s. And hey, why not share?
What makes Babyganics different?
We are first, and always, driven by the standards by which we measure everything we make—from baby lotion to laundry detergent, dish soap to diapers, and more. We make sure all our products (and each and every ingredient that goes into them) are the kind of products a parent would want to use on or around babies so that babies can do what babies do best–crawl, splash, explore, and discover the world around them. All of our products are rigorously tested, so when you bring it home to your family, you know it will work just as promised. Does the product rinse? Clean? Sanitize? Protect? Moisturize? Heal?…Will it last? Resist contamination? Is it affordably priced? And is it safe to use around babies? That’s how we make sure that every Babyganics product lives up to our strict standards.
Are Babyganics skincare products non-irritating?
Absolutely. Our personal care products are tested on adults by independent clinical laboratories to make sure they are non-sensitizing and non-irritating. We err on the side of caution and avoid using ingredients like parabens, phthalates and synthetic fragrance that could potentially cause an allergic reaction for those with developing, sensitive skin (your babies!).
Are your ingredients and formulas certified organic?
All of our products are formulated to meet our standards. We utilize plant-derived, and certified organic ingredients (on our product labels, certified organic ingredients are highlighted with an asterisk (*), in accordance with COPA standards), as well as carefully chosen synthetics or preservatives needed to create the most gentle, most effective formulas we can. Unless indicated on the label, our household and personal care products themselves are not certified organic. They always live up to our highest standards, which we ensure all the way through our process, from our formulation development to our rigorous testing. We’d love for you to check out the product pages, glossary of terms, and our standards for more in-depth ingredient and formulation information. If you still have questions about why we use certain ingredients, where they come from, or what each one is intended to do, please ask us! You can contact us using this customer service page, or feel free to pick up the phone and give us a call. We love talking about our products, and we want our customers to be as happy and confident about the choices they’ve made as we are.
Do you use preservatives?
Yes. And here’s why: water-based skincare and cleaning products without preservatives can get contaminated and breed harmful bacteria and microorganisms. That’s why we use effective but low-level, preservative systems.
Can I clean my child’s toys with Babyganics cleaning products?
Heck yes! They are made with exactly that kind of baby usage in mind! Try our Toy & Highchair Cleaner. We say clean those toys instead of buying new ones!
Can I use your hand sanitizing products on my baby?
The short answer is, yes. Still, hand sanitizers work best when they’re used by the people who are around your baby. That’s how you prevent the spread of germs, and that’s what we recommend. They don’t contain alcohol like other sanitizers do. The key active ingredient in our hand sanitizing products is benzalkonium chloride, which we use at .1% instead of the 62% alcohol you’ll find in some other products. If you’re curious as to why, check out our answer to the next question.
Do you use alcohol in your hand sanitizer?
No. Remember benzalkonium chloride from answer number 7? Well, we think it has tons of advantages over using the alcohol that other sanitizers do. It’s less drying to the skin, and doesn’t stain clothing. Finally, published studies have shown that gelled alcohol hand sanitizers actually strip away the natural oils of skin. So, no. We don’t use alcohol in our sanitizers. Glad you asked!
Are your diaper creams and ointments safe to use with cloth diapers?
Yes and yes, we have many cloth diaper fans! Our Diaper Rash Cream contains our skin loving NeoNourish® Seed Blend and protective Zinc Oxide. While our Protective Ointment is petroleum-free, contains NeoNourish® and helps to provide a barrier to the skin - we like to use it at every diaper change! And don’t forget, you can toss those cloth diapers into the washer with our cloth-diaper-safe laundry detergent and stain remover too.
What materials do you use to make your diapers?
Get ready for a detailed answer, because we couldn’t be prouder of our diapers! Of course, we design them to be friendly to your baby’s sensitive skin, but we also consider the planet and your wallet! Our super-absorbent core blend is made with renewable, plant-based material that reduces the amount of SAP gel needed. Our diapers use totally chlorine-free (TCF) untreated fluff pulp. We use a super-soft, non-woven material for the top sheet, back sheet, stretchy side wings and cuff, for your baby’s total comfort. Then we use a polyolefin for soft and stretchy tabs and closure for a secure hold. Oh, and non-latex elastic leg closure for a comfy, leak-reducing fit. But wait, here’s the best part: our diapers are made with NeoNourish® − our own blend of tomato, sunflower, cranberry, black cumin and raspberry seed oils. We incorporate NeoNourish® into the diaper core to help support your baby’s skin health.
